Form Function & Food in response to Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016. Works have been selected from artists and makers producing functional or abstract pieces related to food and dining, and the exhibition includes furniture, fine art, silverware, ceramics, textiles and bread!

The thirteen participants (a baker’s dozen) were selected from open call and bring an international line up to Lisburn. Local NI makers sit alongside works from across the UK, and from as far afield as Finland and Australia. Uniting skill and concept, the works highlight the dining table as a focus for human interaction. Ruth Singer, who will be showing a table cloth “The Beauty of Stains”, won the Fine Art Quilt Masters Award 2016 at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC in Birmingham.
